**PARALEGAL – OFFSHORE CORPORATE, FUNDS AND FINANCE PRACTICE – CAYMAN ISLANDS**
Our client is an award-winning global offshore law firm with expertise in BVI, Cayman Islands, Guernsey and Jersey law and a strong track record of achieving results for its clients. It acts for major corporate and private clients, financial institutions and intermediaries worldwide.
It is seeking to hire an experienced Paralegal into its pre-eminent transactional team in its Cayman Islands office. The practice covers investment funds - both open and closed ended - financing, corporate and commercial law, and general financial services.
Requirements for the role are as follows:
- Prior paralegal/legal associate experience in a leading law firm environment;
- Solid administrative skills;
- Offshore law firm experience preferred (but not essential);
- CIMA/REEFS filing experience welcome (but not essential);
- The willingness to adapt to a broad corporate/funds/finance practice; and
- Good communication skills and a team playing approach.
Main responsibilities
- Reviewing and summarising legal documents
- Performing legal research and analysis
- Printing and collation of legal documents for completions
- Checking legal forms/documents for accuracy
- Assisting in the preparation of reports and correspondence
- Assisting in drafting a range of legal documents
- Maintaining system-based filing for storing documents
- Assisting in file openings and AML enquiries
- Supporting the team's marketing and business development plans
- Taking responsibility for a wide range of tasks/projects as required by the team
