Job Details
Our client, a leading employment consultancy, is seeking an experienced Employment Law Solicitor or Barrister to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious employment lawyer to gain akin to in-house experience without the traditional corporate setting.
As an Employment Solicitor here, you will provide expert legal advice and support to a diverse range of clients, including HR professionals and senior executives. Your responsibilities will include:
Management and Supervision: Overseeing junior team members, delegating tasks, and providing guidance and support.
Client Relationship Management: Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients, proactively identifying their needs, and delivering exceptional service.
Strategic Advice: Providing strategic legal advice to clients on complex employment law issues, helping them to mitigate risk and achieve their business objectives.
Case Management: Managing a caseload of complex employment tribunal cases, including drafting pleadings, conducting witness interviews, and representing clients at hearings.
Training and Development: Delivering training sessions and workshops on employment law topics to clients and internal team members. To be successful in this role, you will need:
A minimum of five years' experience, likely 8 years+, in employment law, gained at a reputable law firm or in-house legal team. A strong understanding of employment law principles and case law. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex legal concepts clearly and concisely. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. A proactive and solution-oriented approach. The ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience in managing and supervising junior team members.
