General Counsel

Our client, a market leader within the Oil and Gas industry, is looking to appoint a General Counsel to join the business.

This is a standalone senior legal role which will focus on managing all legal matters to ensure that the Company is complying with all legal and regulatory requirements, such as responses to government consultations and major contractual matters.

The responsibilities will include; drafting, reviewing and negotiating commercial contracts, administering the Code or Business Ethics Policy and Competition Policy, assisting senior management with negotiating key agreements, monitoring legislation and regulations and supporting the Company Secretary.

The role will require attendance in the company's offices in Pembrokeshire 3 days per week.

Applications are sought from experienced Senior Legal Counsel / General Counsel's who have a minimum of 7 years PQE and who have previously worked in-house within the Oil and Gas industry or within the Energy sector. Extensive commercial law expertise is required including dealing with Term Suppliers and EPC contracting. Excellent knowledge of corporate law and procedures (including project financing), a high degree of professional and integrity and strong knowledge of UK/EU Gas Regulations is also required.
