Legal Adviser

This organisation gives grants to a wide range of projects involving local, regional and national heritage. They have a need for a Legal Adviser to join for a 12-month fixed term contract.

As a Legal Adviser, you will be responsible for providing legal advice and supporting on grant and loan contracts, property matters, procurement and service contracts, complaints handling, legal research and governance.

To be considered you should have a current Practising Certificate or be a Legal Executive within England and Wales, with a minimum of two years post qualification experience. Experience in contract and property law and/or experience in public law and or commercial law/procurement is preferable, as is some knowledge and understanding of Freedom of Information, Data Protection legislation and legal practice. Prior experience of working in house in a grant funding organisation, charity or other public body is also desirable.

You will receive a competitive salary, generous holiday allowance and a civil service pension. You will have hybrid working and can be based out of any of their UK offices including: Belfast, Birmingham, Cambridge, Cardiff, Edinburgh, Exeter, Leeds, Manchester, Newcastle, Nottingham.
