Director of Legal and Regulation

Exciting opportunity for a Director of Legal, Regulation and Compliance to join a well-known national business which is a leader in its field.  Full time or part time (4 days) working pattern will be considered.  Hybrid working with 2-3 days in the office HQ in Staffordshire.

Arbuthnot Yon are working exclusively with a regulated business which operates across the UK and is a leader in its field with 400,000 customers and a turnover of c£1bn.  The business is going through an exciting period of change.  The Director of Legal, Regulation and Compliance will report into the CEO and be an important member of the executive team in the business.   This will involve you leading on strategic projects and advising on legal and regulatory risk across all areas of the business.  You will also have responsibility for a talented and motivated team. 

We are keen to hear from senior lawyers who have ideally gained experience in a leadership role in regulated environment and who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment and love what they do! 

Due to the varied nature of this business, you will thrive on working across different legal, regulatory and compliance areas and you will be able to operate at both a strategic and operational level.  

You will be at least 7 years PQE currently working in-house in a leadership role with experience gained in commercial legal work plus experience or a knowledge of working with regulatory functions would be a bonus.    Applications will be considered from current Head of Legal applicants looking for a change or alternatively if you are a Senior Legal Counsel looking to step up then this could be this could be a great opportunity to progress your career.

This position is based in Staffordshire.  The business has a hybrid working model and you will be required to work in the office 2 – 3 days per week.   Application will also be considered from applicants seeking a full time or part time (4 day per week) working pattern.
