The Wren Insurance Association (Wren) is a mutual insurance company, providing professional indemnity cover to architectural practices since 1987. Wren insures a significant proportion of the leading firms of commercial architects in the UK. Its membership consists of many award-winning practices passionate about the built environment, designing landmark projects both in the UK and internationally.
Wren has been managed since its inception by Tindall Riley, a leading global insurance management company. Tindall Riley, trading as Wren Managers, manages the day- to- day functions associated with running an insurance company for Wren. Our services include a comprehensive review of Members’ appointments and ancillary documents, claims handling, underwriting and risk management for Wren’s Members. Wren Managers also look after the governance of the mutual, including accounting, company secretarial, regulatory and compliance functions.
Tindall Riley is based in the City of London (offices on London Bridge).
This is a fantastic opportunity for a Construction Lawyer with 1-2 years post-qualified experience who is looking to move into their second job and keen to develop their knowledge and expertise in construction law.
You will be joining a team of 17 solicitors and legal executives. Together we assist Wren’s Members to be appointed on terms falling within their cover and handle any resulting claims.
The role is responsible for reviewing architects’ appointment and other ancillary documents, negotiating amendments and working closely with Members of Wren. You will also attend meetings with and give presentations to Members to explain coverage issues.
Candidates will have experience of non-contentious construction law, preferably gained from within a law firm or other inhouse legal teams and will be familiar with professional indemnity matters relating to construction professionals. You will be legally qualified in the UK or QLTT.
The role offers a competitive salary and excellent benefits package and we have a flexible, hybrid working policy in place.
