THE FIRM

A UK and international law firm.

THE ROLE

A Knowledge Lawyer/Professional Support Lawyer to provide high quality knowledge support for the market-leading Financial Institutions Group (FIG) and the broader Financial Services sector. The successful person will have expertise in Fund transactions and regulation (Investment Funds and Hedge Funds).

It will also be helpful to have experience in one or more aspects of the team's other core service lines: Payments; Consumer and Small Business Finance; and Financial Regulation.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join an experienced and well-respected Knowledge team, working in a supportive and collegiate environment. It would suit both someone looking to move to their first knowledge role as well as someone with previous experience of professional support wanting a high-profile role which is central to many areas of the Firm's work.

You may choose to work on a full or part-time basis (at least equivalent to 4 days a week) and the firm can also accommodate flexible working arrangements, which are common across the Knowledge team and in the FIG team.

THE CANDIDATE

You will have an excellent knowledge of Funds law, regulation and practice and an ability to present information clearly - both in writing and when speaking.

You may be a fee-earning lawyer in private practice or working within the legal team of a business, in academia or in a knowledge role elsewhere, or returning to work after a career break.

You will join a team which advises across the financial services market and clients include clearing, commercial, private and investment banks, securities firms, asset and investment managers, e-money and payment institutions, and service providers.

You will work with the existing FIG Knowledge Lawyer to:
facilitate keeping the FIG team up-to-date on legal and regulatory change across the team's practice.
organise the delivery of legal training, facilitating know-how sharing and developing a technically excellent collection of template documents.
assist in the preparation of client seminars and client workshops and producing reader-friendly internal updates and client publications.
deal with queries from lawyers and clients regarding current law and practice.

You will benefit from a multi-award winning development programme so that you are well supported and developed in your role to build a career in Knowledge.
