This is an excellent opportunity for a Senior Legal Counsel within Infrastructure/Projects to join a well-established, international business taking a lead role from their London HQ.

This reputable business is looking to recruit an experienced commercial lawyer to take on an array of full life-cycle, international infrastructure projects. You will be leading on a mixture of projects within the power, water and transportation sectors.

The group first began over 50 years ago and have since built and maintained an exciting mixture of infrastructure assets, including; airports, bridges, dams, tunnels, hydroelectric power plants, and much more. The business has a big focus on creating Projects which are sustainable and help to reduce CO2 emissions, in line with reach governments' climate commitments.

Unlike many Infrastructure businesses, the group work with the full life-cycle of Projects work. This includes; Financing, Design, Construction, Operating and Maintenance. The business pride themselves on reducing cost and improving delivery times without compromising quality, as well as providing safe transport, clean energy and sustainable socio-economic benefits to the regions that they work in.

The role

This company is seeking an experienced Senior Legal Counsel - Infrastructure/Projects to take a lead from their London HQ.

You will be working closely with the Board and Head of Legal, analysing legal issues and providing advice to counsel and company stakeholders. A large portion of the role will involve working on a wide variety of international commercial contracts, procurement, construction and engineering contracts (FIDIC and EPC), commercial disputes, public private partnerships and arbitrations.

You will be liaising with members of the international legal team, and will also have the opportunity to work on some employment matters and general compliance responsibilities.

It will also be a requirement to travel to other company offices across Europe and the Middle East.

Requirements

  • You will be a Commercial solicitor of 5+ PQE
  • You will have experience in international Infrastructure/Projects
  • You will have the ability to work proactively within a team and take a lead role within a growing legal team
