Financial Regulation Senior Associate - Cayman Islands

Our client is one of the leading offshore law firms, with a fantastic reputation and strong relationships with many of the world’s largest financial institutions, corporates, and investment managers. The firm’s Cayman HQ is one of the largest on the island and is home to one of the most sophisticated regulatory practices in the jurisdiction.

The team advises the firm’s international client base on the full spectrum of financial regulation as it intersects with offshore transactions. This includes guidance on FATCA, MiFID, cross-border conduct of business advice, SMR, AML / terrorist financing, and many other issues. They work closely with the firm’s funds, corporate, and finance practices to provide a full service to clients.

The team is seeking an additional associate who meets the following criteria:

• Qualified in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, or the UK with approximately 4-8PQE*;
• Demonstrable expertise in financial services regulation, particularly advisory work for financial institution clients;
• Experience gained in a top 50 law firm; and
• A strong academic background.
