Funds Associates (5yrs+) - Singapore

Our client is a pre-eminent offshore law firm with a considerable global presence. They now seek additional firepower in the Singapore funds team at the Associate / Snr Associate level and would be keen to hear from those candidates committed to building a long term career in Southeast Asia.

The role will involve a significant amount of drafting of all fund documents, advising on both commercial issues as well as technical legal issues, and some negotiation, working with a range of fund formation experts on hedge, private equity and other investment fund structures. 

To be considered, applicants should have gained experience working at top commercial firms (minimum of 5yrs PQE) and whilst some funds experience would be an advantage, it is not a pre-requisite for the role - as our client would provide all necessary training - so a solid corporate background would also be considered.

It is important that you will be diligent and have outstanding legal and technical skills, including excellent attention to detail, ability to multi-task, with robust interpersonal, communication and drafting skills as well as being able to work proactively as part of a dynamic & cohesive team. English speaking with strong academics, Chinese language skills are advantageous – but not necessary for this appointment. 

In return for your efforts, you will develop quickly via exposure to a range of high quality funds work in addition to other interesting corporate and finance transactions, while receiving hands on training & mentorship from senior lawyers within the team.
