Company Secretary job - Part-time (20-30 hour per week) - Public Sector

Your new company
Our public sector client is looking for a part-time (20-30 hours per week) Company Secretary to lead and manage the provision of a range of Company Secretariat services in connection with the activities of its holding company and its subsidiaries. This position is based in their Bristol offices but offers a hybrid blend of home and office working, they are also flexible regarding working pattern.

Your new role
Your duties will include responsibility for the effectiveness and operations of company boards and, board sub-committees including setting agendas in consultation with meeting Chairs, maintaining statutory books and ensuring compliance with all Companies House requirements and taking responsibility for general day-to-day company secretarial support functions. Key responsibilities will include board meetings, reports and accounts, AGM's, corporate governance, maintenance of the statutory registers and minute books and making all Companies House filings and returns and managing requests from the shareholder(s), including in relation to share issuances or the provision of funding.

About you
You will be a Qualified chartered secretary, qualified solicitor, or individual with other suitable qualification with demonstrable experience in corporate governance, company law and/or the provision of company secretarial services. You will be qualified to graduate and/or full professional level in a related discipline or equivalent experience through Accreditation of Prior Learning. You should be confident working independently and as part of a small multi-disciplinary team, on your own initiative, under pressure and to deadlines, including exhibiting good organisational skills.
