Job Details
Our client is a leading asset manager with well over $200bn under management.
With three lawyers in London, they now seek to hire a dedicated regulatory resource to take on a role involving everything from regulatory advice around trading (MiFID II, EMIR, SFTR) and funds operations (AiFMD, UCITS) and central regulation (GDPR, SMCR etc).
Additionally, you will be responsible for regulatory pipeline evaluation, analysis, implementation and oversight.
Working closely with the business across the board from PMs to upper management, you will have a varied and interesting diet of work.
The successful candidate will be a lawyer of 5-10 pqe and will ideally have gained some exposure to regulation in a private practice environment, however this is not essential. What is essential is that you bring broad regulatory experience along with the intellectual capital to be able to analyse and implement new regulation. Candidates will seek an autonomous and interesting hands on role with good visibility throughout the business and will be content to have ownership in this space rather than seeking management responsibilities.
