Assistant Company Secretary job - Bristol

Your new employer
Our client is one of the biggest and most reputable institutions in the United Kingdom and they are currently looking for an Assistant Company Secretary to join their team in Bristol. This is a diverse role in which you will be part of the UK Legal function, within a fast paced, challenging and diverse environment where your input will be central to their corporate operations and growth strategy.

Your new role
You will provide assistance and support on corporate governance matters to the company secretary for over 200 subsidiary companies and will be working within a complex and diverse corporate and compliance structure. There will be lots of responsibility for the administration of corporate governance matters in line with regulatory requirements and plenty of involvement with various stakeholders. More generally, the successful candidate will find themselves advising legal and senior business stakeholders on company related issues, corporate governance requirements and process involvements.

About you
This would be the perfect role for a candidate who has been educated to degree level and has ascertained further professional qualifications; ideally my client would be interested in candidates who are an Associate of the Chartered Governance Institute (formerly the Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators), or those who are working towards the professional governance qualification (part qualified). They are also keen to hear from paralegals looking to pursue a move into the corporate governance/company secretarial profession. Candidates of interest will include those who have demonstrable experience in areas including company law and risk management. In addition, candidates interested in applying for this role will need to have excellent analytical skills and be confident working within a wider team.

Our client can offer a very appealing package on top of a salary that will depend upon the level of experience that a candidate can bring to the role.

For further information about this role, please contact Harriet Chapman at Hays Legal.
