Legal Counsel, Wealth

We’re currently looking for someone to provide expert legal advice to the wealth business of a large universal bank. As part of the wider retail, business banking and wealth legal team you will be the lead lawyer on investments and private banking working closely with the very strong wealth compliance team on matters such as conduct risk. We’re looking for someone experienced in MiFID II and other relevant regulations who can work on investments and structured products and deal with the relevant commercial issues. You will support the product teams on new initiatives and work closely with the marketing department to take products to market. You will participate in various business and risk meetings and committees and deliver internal training as required.

Working with a very experienced and mature team will be an enjoyable experience as the lawyers collaborate well in dealing with new regulations and legislation across the relevant markets.  Being part of the wider retail and business banking team offers the opportunity to expand your experience and there is also the opportunity to get involved in international matters. There is good opportunity for progression, both within the team and as part of the bigger group. We are flexible on location for this role as it can be almost entirely remote.
