JOB TITLE: Travel & Leisure Solicitor
PQE: 2-4 years’ +

THE ROLE:
My client is looking for an ambitious Solicitor to join its Travel and Leisure part of the PI & Regulatory team. Working closely with an established team, you will advise clients on matters relating to travel law, regulatory compliance, commercial and media law. Your clients would include companies offering international and UK holidays, the cruise and ferry industry, hotel owners and industry bodies. The role would be dealing with contentious and non-contentious matters and would involve:
• Advising on contractual matters, clients booking terms and conditions, conditions of carriage, website compliance and consumer protection and regulatory issues
• Dealing with litigious claims
• Drafting commercial agreements
• Development of own internal and external network of contacts and play a significant role in business development for the team.
• Transactional, drafting and negotiating experience
• Travel where necessary (if of interest)
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful Travel & Leisure Solicitor will be between 2 – 4 years’ PQE (negotiable for the right candidate) and have experience in travel law and claims (in-house or private practice). You will have basic knowledge of personal injury claims, experience in relation to airline claims, experience of hotel contracts, drafting supplier’s contracts such as excursion providers, car hire companies, coach companies, knowledge of Regulations and Conventions such as the Package Travel Regulations, the Montreal Convention and the Athens Convention. You must have demonstrable ability to meet deadlines and adhere to guidelines and procedures (clients and internal) and strong organisational, interpersonal and communication skills. The ideal Travel & Leisure Solicitor will have a pragmatic approach to legal and commercial problem-solving, the ability to work as part of a team and independently and posses an interest and aptitude for developing new business.
