The Firm:

Based in the heart of the West End, this firm has been established for over 30 years and they have a Real Estate flavour to the work that they do. The firm is run very efficiently, with a strong management team. They have a dynamic, friendly, and progressive culture with a flat management structure. They now stand at 30 members of staff.

Joining this practice is a very smart career move. The firm can offer excellent prospects for progression with many of the firm's Partners being homegrown. They have made it their identity to train and advance the people currently working at the firm, rather than bring in Partners and HOD's from other firms.

The Role:

The firm are seeking to hire a Commercial Property Senior Associate into their West End, London office.

They have considerable expertise in leisure related property issues, in particular in the restaurant sector. Their experience includes acting for landlords and tenants in large scale developments, both retail and mixed use. You will deal with Development, Landlord & Tenant, Acquisitions and Disposals and Commercial Leases.

You will work alongside the firms other Partners and will be at the forefront of this growing department. You will deal with an excellent quality of work.

Responsibilities:

  • Undertaking a wide range of work including advising on agreements relating to the sale and purchase of shares and businesses
  • Reorganisations and commercial agreements
  • Supply & purchasing, distributorship and agency contracts
  • Trading terms of business and e-commerce terms of use
  • Collaborative working with the senior lawyers of the team on larger complex transactions
  • Develop client base

Requirements:

  • 8 years PQE
  • Commercial experience
  • A good working knowledge of data protection and intellectual property would be advantageous but not a necessity
  • Clarity of thinking, commercial awareness and the ability to guide clients with your advice, understanding and setting clear targeted outcomes.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills
  • High standard of free drafting ability
  • Excellent communication skills - written and spoken
  • Experience of Microsoft office products and the ability to use Word, Excel and Powerpoint.
