In-House Legal Counsel

This Newcastle Upon Tyne based in-house legal department is seeking to add an In-House Legal Counsel to its highly regarded and integral team. You will be joining a household name and a top class team, sitting at the heart of the business. The organisation has enjoyed a host of acknowledgements and awards and has a fine reputation in its sector, and as an employer. A purpose led organisation which looks after its people and is deeply committed to improving communities across the local region.

Your day to day will involve a wide range of commercial legal matters, largely in relation to contracts of all shapes and sizes across procurement, supply, IT etc. You will also be exposed to regulatory matters, transactional project work and will advise on legislative changes. Ideally you will have solid Commercial Contracts experience but lawyers from a Corporate or Commercial Litigation background are also encouraged to get in touch.

There is likely to be more than one opportunity available and we would envisage these In-House Legal Counsel roles suiting applicants with c. 0-6 years PQE, however this is simply given as a guide and applicants who fall outside of this banding but have the requisite knowledge/skills should also get in touch.
