Legal Counsel, Marketing, Media and Intellectual Property (3+ PQE) FTC

Our client is looking for a bright and outgoing lawyer to join the Marketing, Media and IP legal team on a one-year contract.

As a Legal Counsel, you’ll provide support across marketing, sponsorships, partnerships, social media, branding and trading activities. If that’s not enough, the team also advises on a wide range of marketing contracts, advertising technology and data privacy issues.
This role reports to the Head of Legal: Marketing, Media and Digital Products as part of a team responsible for the provision of legal support to the Marketing and Trading Divisions of the business.

You will have the ability to view situations from a commercial or wider business perspective (analysing risks and opportunities) and deliver the best possible outcomes in a timely manner. You’ll also need the confidence to question others and discuss your views in an open honest and collaborative environment.

Although the role is for a one-year contract, the company is growing and there is great potential for future opportunities.

Experience:

• We’re looking for a high calibre qualified lawyer with at least 4 years private practice experience.
• We are looking for someone who is confident, articulate, flexible and good at collaborative working with an interest in technology and telecoms.
• The role would suit a marketing, media, sports or intellectual property lawyer, although contract lawyers with some experience of tech consumer products or privacy could also adapt to the environment.
• Typically LLB and English Law qualifications or equivalent legal qualifications in other jurisdictions.
