Compliance Counsel

Highly unique opportunity for an experienced Compliance Lawyer (Senior/Compliance Counsel) to join a City-based corporate in central London.

This organisation is involved in a number of large-scale projects around technology, telecommunications, renewable energy and consumer products and will suit an individual who enjoys variety and learning on the job.

This organisation is a global firm, often working in collaboration with other large corporates producing next generation initiatives that positively effect the lives of us all.

The role itself sits across their entire Governance and Compliance & Ethics Programme including, but not limited to: code of conduct, conflicts of interest, anti-bribery & corruption, competition & anti-trust, anti-slavery & human rights, anti-money laundering/tax evasion, export control, data protection and Environmental, Social Governance (ESG).

This EMEA Compliance team sits within the broader legal team in London, reporting to the Head of Compliance Counsel, with a dotted line to General Counsel, also based in London.

About you

• Legally Qualified in the UK or EU, ideally with previous in-house experience.
• Experience in 2 or more of the compliance subjects listed above - training will be provided.
• Confident, with a desire to learn on the job.
• Commercially minded with a can-do attitude - we’re looking for enablers!
• Excellent stakeholder management skills.
• Proven ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously, and prioritise accordingly.
• Language skills would be beneficial, but are not essential.
