The Ombudsman will head this new Regulatory Authority’s Office of Ombudsman, overseeing the outcome of complaints made to the Ombudsman, matters referred to the Ombudsman by the Governor or the Board of Directors and matters investigated by the Ombudsman of their own volition.
The Ombudsman will be responsible for the overall leadership, management and direction of the Office of Ombudsman and ensure the fulfilment of the mandate of the Office of Ombudsman in line with this giga projects Founding Law.
The Ombudsman will play a key role in their vision, aiming to reduce the risk of maladministration and to foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement in this new regulatory Authority.
Ahead of the activation of the Authority, the Ombudsman will oversee efforts to drive the readiness of the Office of Ombudsman across various key “readiness criteria”, working closely with the Office of the General Counsel to develop and deliver an activation plan and roadmap to achieve the stand-up of the Office of Ombudsman in accordance with the timetable for Authority activation, as well as the further build out of the office to achieve full end-state setup.
