Job Details
Despite the UK entering a (likely prolonged) period of economic uncertainty, this sizable international law firm has a requirement to upscale its corporate tax offering at partner level. In part this is because the existing corporate tax capacity is, by the scale of the firm as a whole, a tad bonsai, and in part because it has a medium-term succession issue.
The firm is full-service and you will be expected to cover a wide variety of corporate tax matters and be prepared to brush up on areas outside your comfort zone – however, providing you can cover corporate support matters, to an extent, there is scope to accommodate a sub-specialism in, say, real estate tax, indirect tax, insurance tax or tax disputes.
The firm is keen to hire an existing junior partner with a good client bedside manner or, exceptionally, a blocked senior associate / counsel to whom it will offer immediate partnership.
