Legal Counsel, 1-4 – Fast Growth Technology, Yorkshire, Midlands or Remote

Fast growing technology group seeks a commercial lawyer to work as part of a close-nit mid-sized legal team. This presents an excellent opportunity for a highly motivated individual to work closely on cutting edge IT services including cloud and cybersecurity. The position can be undertaken fully remotely with occasional travel or based at one of their Midlands or Yorkshire based offices.

The Role:

Providing advice regarding legal and compliance matters across the business Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide variety of contracts including sales, cloud, IT services, cybersecurity, procurement Supporting the sales teams with key contract negotiations with both private and public sector clients Assisting with company secretarial matters for Group companies Providing support to the business in connection with data protection/privacy matters, corporate transactions, real estate and dispute management Identifying risk and developing strategies to mitigate these Assist with group insurance matters

Key Requirements:

• UK Qualified lawyer with experience from a well-regarded law firm or gained in-house
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills, and ability to analyse complex agreements
• A strategic thinker able to look at the bigger picture when advising the business
• Experience in drafting, negotiating, and advising on a wide range of commercial contracts, preferably in technology but transferable skills would be considered
• Previous experience of working in-house preferably with a technology business a benefit but not essential
• A knowledge of data protection law would also be helpful
