Senior M&A Lawyer - Financial Service group

We have been instructed on a fantastic opportunity to join one of the fastest developing financial service groups based in Melbourne. A small and nimble team, our client has been growing tremendously in recent years, and are looking for a senior lawyer with experience in corporate M&A to provide assistance in a stimulating role with a varied workload.

You will be reporting directly to the General Counsel, and successful candidates must have experience in negotiating engagement letters, NDAs, Term Sheets, shareholder governance arrangements, acquisition documents and providing due diligence support to the Investment Team. Furthermore, you must have experience in settling regulatory approval applications (FIRB, OIO, ACCC) and negotiating conditions as well as providing support for financing transaction execution (including hedging/ISDA) and related approvals and governance requirements.

Applicants must have a legal qualification from Australia with at least 6 years' experience at an international law firm or from an internationally recognised business within financial services such as a hedge fund, asset management or private equity firm.

Remuneration - 200k - 300k AUD per annum / £120,000 - £160,000 per annum + incentives
