LEGAL & BUSINESS AFFAIRS ROLE
GAMING - 1-3 YEARS' PQE
Our client is one of the leading interactive entertainment companies in the world. We are fortunate enough to be working exclusively in partnership with them to help them find a Legal Counsel for their team.
The business continues to grow at a rapid rate and the legal team are seeking a 1-3 year PQE solicitor that is proactive, creative, adaptable, and collaborative.
You will support the publishing business and development studios across all disciplines within the business, including product development, marketing, sales, commercial publishing, data privacy and compliance. The work is varied, and the team's emphasis is focussed on adding value to the business. You will also gain some really interesting international exposure.
Knowledge of the video games industry as well as in-house legal experience within a multi-national corporation is desirable, but not a requirement. Sound experience in IP and commercial law is necessary, with proven experience working in a dynamic, process-driven environment. The role requires a practical and commercial approach to projects with an emphasis on adding value to the business. The candidate will be a team player, with the ability to build strong relationships with the legal team and key stakeholders in the business.
The successful candidate will have demonstrable commercial experience within video game, entertainment, technology, and/or FMCG industries.
From a background perspective you will have the ability to negotiate and draft a broad range of commercial agreements (including software licensing, distribution, contractor agreements, software development and publishing agreements).and provide advice as well as practical and commercial solutions for the business.
You will be developed and nurtured by a supportive and long-standing legal team.
