Chief Legal Officer, ESG Fund, Dubai
Our client is a global, influential multinational company with offices, operations and assets across the world. Although stemming from the Middle East, they have long outgrown the borders of the region. Building upon solid foundations and success, they have recently launched a fund and investment arm, focussed primarily onto Environmental and Social Governance, technology and healthcare. Having built a C-suite, they are now looking for their first Chief Legal Officer, who can drive forward corporate deals and investment, whilst assisting with regulatory and compliance issues.
ROLE: You'll lead day to day legal advice related to corporate investments. M&A, JV's, funds, compliance and regulatory.
CANDIDATE: There are some key criteria to take into consideration before applying:
- A guideline PQE is 8 - 12 years. More senior than this, then the budgets and set up is unlikely to suit.
- It's essential that you have a foundation of very solid private practice, across M&A, investments and strategic corporate transactions.
- This role will best fit someone in a Senior Legal Counsel position in-house, or Senior Associate in a law firm looking to step up into their first lead role.
- The organisation itself is small in employee numbers, but wide in reach, you'll need to be comfortable working solo and with management teams.
- You'll need to be happy in a role where remote working is the norm.
- Whilst the role will be based in Dubai, candidates from outside the GCC market can be considered.
