DCM/Derivatives - major international firm - London - 0-3 PQE

Our client is a major global law firm with an established and longstanding reputation in the UK, where they are headquartered.

The firm's leading specialist Capital Markets and Derivatives team boasts a strong and enviable client base of financial institutions, including leading investment banks, insurance companies, asset and investment managers, and institutional and corporate clients, including trustees and pension schemes. The collegiate and collaborative practice offers a wide range of challenging and stimulating work, including:

• Securitised derivatives and structured products;
• Repackagings;
• OTC derivatives;
• Repos;
• Stock lending;
• Strategic equity financings; and
• A range of debt capital markets transactions.

Due to consistent and ongoing workflow, the team are now looking for at least one additional ambitious and talented junior lawyer (NQ-3 PQE) with a background in debt capital markets, derivatives and/or structured finance.

Their ideal candidate will be someone with a mix of Debt Capital Markets and Derivatives experience, but the team would consider candidates who tended strongly one way or the other, provided they were prepared to learn and expand their practice area.

As well as relevant experience (gained either in a law firm or in-house) it's also important you're ambitious to succeed and committed to investing the time and care needed to improve your knowledge and skill, and grow and maintain successful client relationships. You'll also need sound judgement and good interpersonal/consultancy skills; and the ability to communicate succinctly with clients and colleagues.
