Job Details
The firm in question are looking to hire a Review Manager into their recently established Review Management team, which sits within the firm’s wider Disputes & Investigations practice. The department handles the full spectrum of investigations and inquiries work, including financial regulatory, corporate crime, competition and tax investigations, and the Review Manager will sit at the critical juncture between fee earners, e-Disclosure and document reviewers.
It will be your responsibility to work with all three teams to ensure the most effective, efficient and accurate interrogation of (usually electronically stored) information and evidence.
The role:
The successful Review Manager’s role is, in essence, to lead the management of the evidential review process from start to finish. You will bring together technology, processes, management and analytics to ensure that large volumes of information are interrogated effectively, efficiently and accurately. This will include:
- Managing, the execution of large-scale electronic document reviews projects
- Working with the e-Disclosure team in utilising advanced review methodology through the use of e-Disclosure technology, processes and analytical tools
- Working alongside the firm’s Associates and Partners to develop and execute the most effective review strategy, including advising on review protocols
- Undertaking document review at the initial sampling and planning phases (and possibly during more complex review exercises too)
- Coordinating and managing both internal and external review teams
- Identifying and analysing evidence, drafting chronologies, evidential summaries and case narratives
- Overseeing document review recruitment
- Establishing and maintaining document review schedules and timelines, and reporting to the client on the same
- Liaising with third party software providers
- Managing the project budget
- Identifying and implementing new and advanced technologies
The successful Review Manager will be a qualified Lawyer with a background in Dispute Resolution and good experience of managing both reviewers and the review/discovery process.
- Qualified Lawyer (any jurisdiction)
- The ideal Review Manager will have 2+ years of post-qualification experience within Dispute Resolution in another top law firm (whether in the UK or another jurisdiction)
- Top notch document review skills as well as experience managing teams of reviewers
- Excellent organisational and time management skills – you’ll be adept at spinning several plates at once!
- A confident communicator who enjoys working with multiple stakeholders at different levels, both internal and external
- Someone who thrives in a busy and client facing role with lots of variety!
- More technical e-Disclosure experience would be beneficial but isn’t (desired but not essential as training will be provided)
In return you will receive the annual salary of £70,000 - £80,000 per annum plus bonus, along with genuine support for your personal and professional development.
