Your new company
Innovative, ambitious and committed to growth, this organisation is a key player in the life sciences sector. Following significant capital investment and a new strategic direction the General Counsel is looking to appoint senior solicitor to take ownership of commercial legal matters.
Your new role
With an emphasis on stakeholder engagement, contracts drafting and negotiating a wide range of collaborative agreements and complex commercial contracts, you will take a lead role in the legal department. You must have the experience to work autonomously and without supervision to ensure the smooth running of the in-house legal function. You will also supervise a junior member of the team and work closely with the business on strategic legal projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be a UK qualified solicitor with a solid commercial contracts background and experience in drafting, reviewing and negotiating complex contracts. You will have practised with a well-regarded law firm or in-house team and have excellent relationship building skills in order to work effectively across the business, provide robust advice and influence decision making at all levels.
What you'll get in return
You will join a high calibre team in a key appointment as the lead lawyer during a time the business takes a new strategic direction and is set to grow. You will be offered a salary (c£75k-c£90k) depending on experience and will have the option to work from home part of the week.
