Trade Finance Lawyer – 2-4 PQE To £120,000 plus bonus

This major global bank with a focus on flexibility and ethos, has a vacancy within its loan finance legal team for a lawyer to tackle a range of emerging markets trade finance transactions to include LC, guarantee, receivables purchase, bills of exchange and discounting/factoring arrangements.  You will also cover LMA driven loan finance transactions.  In addition, you will work to some extent on cash products including cash pooling, escrow and custody arrangements.  This is likely to form around 20% of the role with the trade, loan and receivables finance content forming the remaining 80%).

The role reports to the Head of Loan Finance Legal, himself an experienced trade, loan and asset finance lawyer.  Working closely with the business, you will be involved cradle to grave in the deal cycle.  Despite this high level content, you will benefit from a collegiate and pleasant environment with plenty of senior lawyers from whom to learn but with ownership of your own deal load.  You will also benefit from a flexible environment in which working from home is encouraged up to 3 days a week and flexibility exists around core hours in the office.

The successful candidate will be a lawyer, ideally with 2-4 years’ post-qualified experience in trade, commodity, receivables or asset finance.  At minimum, you will have trained in private practice and will now be looking for a pleasant, meritocratic environment in which work/life balance is highly valued and in which top tier work is nonetheless on offer.
