Our client is a hugely successful boutique commercial firm with a long-standing presence in the Manchester market and carries a reputation for both the quality and commerciality of its practice.

The firm has strong ambitions and is investing heavily in its people and the ongoing growth of the business. This is a well run business but at its heart are its people - a very friendly and dynamic culture where ego's are left firmly at the door in favour of collaboration. 

The insolvency team is small but well formed and operates at both ends of the spectrum and across both personal and corporate insolvency but encompass the full range of work from straightforward asset recovery to more complex undervalue and preference claims and the pursuit of errant directors.

One of the key aspects of the team is their approach. Technically capable but commercial in mindset they will be looking for someone down to earth who isn't afraid to roll up their sleeves and muck in with the client as well as help to support the growth and development of junior team members as well.

Given the current structure of the team the preference would be for someone with upwards of 3 years PQE insolvency litigation experience. Whilst there is a degree of flexibility in terms of background there is a need for the experience to be genuine insolvency litigation experience or recoveries work on behalf of insolvency practitioners as opposed to more general litigation. Again, this is simply because of the need for the incoming person to be able to support in the ongoing development and supervision of juniors.
