Job Description
Our Support Functions deliver services and make recommendations about ways to enhance our workplace and the culture of our organization. Our Support Functions include HR, Finance, Information Technology, Legal, Procurement, Administration, Facilities and Security.

Your role is integral to ensuring that our legal interests are protected by handling all legal and critical compliance matters across the UK, Ireland, Nordics and Baltics whilst leading on European-wide legal and compliance initiatives. You’ll provide clear and pragmatic legal and compliance advice to the region to help support the business objectives while leading the way through best practice implementation, risk identification and mitigation.
You will report into the Head of Legal and Compliance, UK, Ireland, Nordics and Baltics, and you will sit on one or more Leadership Teams for the assigned areas of responsibility.
Your advice and support will be required across all areas of the business including but not limited to:

Commercialisation, Marketing and Advertising

Commercial and contract law, including the review, drafting, negotiation of and advice on a wide variety of contracts to secure and protect the Company, including the protection of intellectual property rights and other assets

Public procurement and tendering
-
Competition law, including pricing, discounting and rebates and pro-competitive programs and offerings
-
Anti-corruption/ anti-bribery (including the US Foreign Corrupt Practices Act and UK Bribery Act)

Market access, including supporting health technology appraisals across both medicines and vaccines

Government and Public Affairs, including policy and communications

Overseeing work delegated to more junior members of the legal team and to assist in developing their skills and abilities

Managing legal budgets and ensuring appropriate financial management and resource allocation
What we are looking for:
-
Qualified lawyer (barrister or solicitor) with significant pharmaceutical sector experience particularly in the areas of product marketing, advertising and commercialisation, competition law, healthcare compliance, commercial and contract law, product liability, data privacy, and litigation management

Demonstrated, results driven individual with high energy, and drive who can work collaboratively, with the ability to build strong working relationships with stakeholders across the business

Strong and proven ability to identify key issues and consistently apply a high standard of integrity, professionalism, legal knowledge and expertise, and business ethics

Sound and pragmatic commercial judgment with the ability to make difficult decisions when necessary. Ability to own decisions and articulate a contrary position constructively when needed. Proven ability to make rapid, disciplined decisions – to make timely decisions at the right level with the right data and support them once made

Strong legal judgment with the ability to anticipate future issues and assess potential implications for the Company
