Your new role
Reporting directly to the CEO, you will ensure that the business complies with laws and regulations while carrying out its business and operations. The main areas of responsibility include advising board members and managers on relevant laws, responding to litigation, and overseeing the development of legal policies and procedures in the company. You will work closely with both internal stakeholders (including the Parent Company with any UK-based requirements) plus external stakeholders. Additionally, you will act as the organisational lead on Data Privacy and Compliance topics.
About you
This position is ideal for someone in an in-house legal department working in a commercial environment who is looking for their next opportunity. Our client is happy to hear from both qualified lawyers and experienced career paralegals or trainee legal executives/SQE candidates looking to further build on their commercial experience. You will ideally have at least 2 years' experience in a similar role, ideally in general company/commercial law, and negotiating and drafting a wide range of complicated commercial contracts.
This role offers a diverse range of topics and needs an organised individual who thrives in a dynamic work environment, who is able to manage their time efficiently (and manage stakeholders accordingly). It is vital that you will have excellent communication skills and the ability to work autonomously. For this role you do not need to have worked in the tech industry before.
