Contentious Probate Senior Solicitor - Exeter

Our client is offering the opportunity for a specialist Contentious Trust and Probate Senior Associate to join their growing Legacies & Trust Disputes team in their Exeter office.

You will be joining a highly ranked team handling inheritance disputes for a nationwide private client base, and for national charities. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work closely with high calibre clients from the outset. You can expect a flexible working approach from home and in the office as needed to meet the needs of the wider business and clients.

With the expectation to handle your own caseload from the start, you will hit the ground running taking responsibility for all aspects of contentious trust and probate work. You will be working closely with a Managing Associate and specialist lawyers, with both trainee and paralegal support. The team prides themselves in meeting the needs of their charity clients, providing dispute resolution, estate administration, and legacy income management. In addition to this, the team lends support to the wider Private Wealth Sector which includes agricultural, mental capacity, tax, and family teams.

To be considered for this role, you will have at least 5 years' PQE with solid post qualification experience as a genuine specialist in contentious trusts and probate, as well as experience of running your own caseload. Ideally, you will have ACTAPS and/or STEP qualifications, however this is not essential, and our client will be happy to support you with this. Having senior experience, you will be supervising and supporting the development of junior team members and will need to be approachable in doing so.
