Job Details
A strong international brand and in old money the firm would be described very much as part of the silver circle. The firm has a strong history for disputes and there is a diaspora of well-regarded lawyers who have established and populated city disputes practices over the years. The international arbitration practice in London is a bit of an enigma, almost masquerading as a much larger practice, but when distilled it is surprisingly lean. The firm is looking to recruit a partner with three plus years of partner experience and with a personal business case of £750,000 plus. There will be a clear track to equity, which is very attractive as the PEP has almost doubled over the last 10 years.
The team is industry agnostic, but ideally would like to follow some of the key sectors, so ideally experience of funds or financial services or healthcare/life sciences sectors would fit well. The practice is about 70% commercial arbitration with the remainder being investor state. The charismatic head of team wants to build a team of like lawyers who do their advocacy.
