Derivatives Lawyer - LIBOR - 6 month Contract

A leading Bank is looking to hire a derivatives and project finance lawyer with extensive expertise in LIBOR remediation. They are looking for a high-quality Derivatives and Project Finance Lawyer with minimum 2 year PQE to be part of its LIBOR project management team to help remediate ISDAs, Confirmations and Project Finance documents. The successful candidates will have the opportunity to work on a high profile and important project that affects most banking contracts focused on LIBOR remediation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

* Review, draft and negotiate amendments to the ISDA Master Agreements (together with ancillary documentation and other master agreements), Swap Confirmations, together with review and advising on the hedging terms of the amendments to the facility agreements, and other ancillary documentation as part of the LIBOR remediation;
* Work closely with the business, legal, internal stakeholders, external legal counsels, from inception to the close of the execution process;
* Keep all stakeholders up to date on the negotiation progress, keep records up to date and be pro-active in following up its negotiations;
* Follow the internal approval processes and internal policies;
* Build and maintain relationships with our clients and provide high levels of client service;
* Liaise with relevant internal stakeholders (including but not limited to legal, sales, business, treasury, LIBOR Project (EPM)) throughout the project lifecycle;
* Able to work with limited supervision;

The successful candidate will be licenced to practice law in England and Wales or another similar jurisdiction with minimum 2 years PQE. You will have solid experience with ISDA documentation at transaction level and related ancillary agreements (project finance hedge agreements). Prior experience in structured products and project finance agreements is essential as is prior experience in LIBOR projects. Familiarity with the IBOR Fallbacks Protocol and Supplement 74 and 75 of the 2006 ISDA Definitions is important and experience with the 2006 ISDA Definitions and drafting ISDA Swap Confirmations is required.
