About the business & Role:
CRA Consulting are recruiting on behalf of a global top 10 law firm. Our client has a renowned international brand with a reputable local presence in Sheffield. Due to continued growth we are recruiting for a Legal Supervisor within either the Sheffield or Manchester offices.

This role will form part of a centralised support unit whereby you will be supporting in a supervisory capacity a number of assistant paralegals, paralegals and senior paralegals who predominately support on real estate transactions, but also on some litigation, corporate, construction, planning and banking matters.

Key Responsibilities:
*Reviewing, understanding, and allocating incoming work efficiently.
*Leading on projects undertaken by the team to include supervising and checking work undertaken by Assistant Paralegals, Paralegals and Senior Paralegals.
*Tracking progress to ensure deadlines are met, answering questions from the team, and liaising with instructing lawyers to keep them updated on how the work is progressing.
*Tracking and mapping the team's capabilities to ensure work is being allocated appropriately.
*Ensure all time is recorded correctly and reviewing utilisation reports / assisting team members to record time fully and accurately.
*Supporting with the recruitment process in relation to interviewing candidates and new start processes etc.
*People management of a sub-team of paralegals to include tasks such as approval of holidays, monitoring sickness, giving feedback, identifying, and implementing training needs, carrying out one to one supervision meetings and yearly appraisals etc.
*Other ad-hoc tasks as required.

About You
An ideal candidate will have previous Real Estate paralegal experience and:
*Experience of supervising a small/mid-size team is preferred.
*Experience of working in a demanding environment.
*Excellent attention to detail; an analytical, thorough, and committed approach to work.
*Exceptional communication skills: must be able to interact with colleagues at all levels to include Partners and Associates at CMS and external clients.
*Excellent time management skills: ability to prioritise conflicting deadlines.
*Excellent IT skills.
*Enthusiastic and pro-active approach.
