Job Details
Construction lawyer sought for an in-house position with FTSE 100 to work on large scale infrastructure projects. West Midlands based.
My client is an innovative cutting-edge business based in the West Midlands. The business is multifaceted in nature and is currently investing £2bn in infrastructure projects over the next few years. This opportunity has arisen due to an internal promotion in the team, and they are looking to appoint a construction lawyer to work on large scale-construction projects. You will also have the opportunity to develop your commercial experience by involved general commercial projects.
You will form part of an established legal team and gain experience across all areas of the business in the UK, advising the business in relation to non-contentious construction matters as well as wider commercial legal areas.
Specific responsibilities will include:
- Acting as business partner to commercial business teams assisting working closely with the business as the legal project lead.
- Overseeing projects and drafting and negotiating project related documentation including: Consultancy agreements, Bids, Tenders and NEC related contracts for large scale construction projects.
- Drafting and negotiating commercial contracts and procurement related contracts encompassing general supply agreements, R&D agreements, IT and R&D.
