Commercial / Financial Services Partner – Strategic Hire, Leadership Role

Our client is an impressive firm with a focus on financial services. FS makes up a substantial portion of the firm’s revenues and they are looking to capitalise on this with a new senior hire to drive strategy and further deepen their relationships and offering in the sector. 

The firm is in an exciting phase of their development, displaying headline hitting financial results and garnering praise in terms of employee satisfaction. Their efforts have not gone unnoticed, and they have been bestowed with awards as well as earning the clout required to attract heavy hitting lateral hires from City and US firms. 

The firm sees this role as a key strategic hire and it has backing from across the board. The role will sit within the substantial commercial practice group and simultaneously be a key member of the financial services sector group, sitting on the FS leadership team and having a mandate to shape business development strategy and push forward and diversify the firm’s offering in the sector. 

We have a broad mandate for this role and are keen to hear from senior people from across the financial services sector. The ideal candidate could be an experienced commercial partner with leadership skills who specialises in advising FS clients within a law firm. We are also interested to speak with well-connected senior in-house lawyers who are looking for something different; this could be a fantastic opportunity to utilise your experience and connections in a senior role within a dynamic law firm. A large client following may not be necessary in this instance as there is huge potential to develop their internal client base.

In terms of technical specialism, the firm is happy to consider those who have a broad range of commercial experience or those who specialise in, for example, data, technology, outsourcing, cyber etc.
