Senior Legal Counsel (6+ PQE) - Commercial / B2B Technology

Candidate Requirements

• 6+ years’ PQE
• Experience leading complex commercial transactions, with direct engagement with in-house stakeholders in the provision of strategic advice and significant negotiation experience
• Excellent academics and private practice training; in-house experience via appointment or secondment preferred
• Ability to rapidly analyse commercial or corporate issues and provide succinct solutions during discussion at Board or Exec level
• Ability to focus on key issues when providing advice resulting in the preparation of concise notes for dissemination to senior stakeholders
• Excellent soft skills for management of in-house teams; recognition of individual drivers of performance and ability to motivate, inspire and lead; skilled in mentoring and coaching juniors to up-skill and cross-skill teams
• Confidence in analysing and providing advice on areas of law falling outside of formal experience (e.g. employment or alternate jurisdictions) through the application of generic commercial law principles
• A flexible working style with an ability to adapt approach to different personalities and various stakeholders
• An innovative spirit and curiosity about business; a keenness for process efficiency and improvement
• A confident and assertive approach
• Strong organisational and analytical skills, with a proactive attitude
• Experience of IP issues or M&A preferred but not essential
• Preparedness to build an in-depth knowledge of online gaming regulations and developments relevant to the activities of the company and its existing and potential clients
