Commercial Counsel, 12-14 Month Contract

About the Company

This high profile prop tech business, now a FTSE 100 company, has an opportunity for a competent Commercial lawyer to join on a contract basis for 12-14 months. The business is now well-established but still embodies the soul of a start-up business, with an ethos to constantly innovate and a desire to never stand still.

The Opportunity

The business is busy and relies heavily on its legal team, which is well integrated into the business.  The role will have responsibility for leading on a variety of key commercial contracts, including customer contracts, marketing and advertising, tech and digital, data privacy and IP. You will also advise the business on day to day commercial matters, managing risk and proactively identifying potential situations which may cause risk. As part of a small team, you will provide guidance and mentorship to a more junior lawyer in the team and you will work to establish effective business relationships.

About You

This is an excellent opportunity for a Commercial lawyer to join a leading prop tech company in a highly varied position. The role really needs someone who can hit the ground running; you will need to demonstrate strong commercial acumen and the ability to work with a large business in a collaborative way. The role will suit an individual who likes variety and who enjoys working directly with the business.

The position offers good flexible working, an excellent salary and either 4 or 5 days. October start date would be preferable but there is flexibility.
