This Cheshire based company is seeking a sole counsel for an opportunity which might appeal to somebody making a move in-house for the first time, perhaps even from a commercial litigation, IP litigation or brand protection background. Others with more traditional commercial contracts exposure in-house or in private practice might see this as their first opportunity to take charge of legal in a company which already has established legal processes and templates in place.
This is an interesting role in a creative and entrepreneurial place where you will get true responsibility for the direction of legal, and help to protect the company's brand and products in the global markets they operate within.
The company doesn't have any fixed ideas on PQE level - they recognise that there are some solicitors at a junior level of PQE or equivalent who might feel able and confident enough to take a role like this on. As such, we would welcome applicants from solicitors of up to around 4 or 5 years PQE, as well as legal executives and experienced paralegals from an in-house background. Commercial litigators with some exposure to IP work are particularly encouraged to apply - this could be a good opportunity for you to move in-house and learn the commercial contracts side of the work here.
The team here is very relaxed but professional, collaborative and energetic. Full time and part time candidates will be considered, and although office time is preferred in the main (for team working) hybrid working is also available.
Please contact Adam Zdravkovic at Think Legal for a confidential discussion about this opportunity.
