Corporate Partner – Energy focus

We have just taken a new instruction from a national firm client looking to grow their corporate team at partner level. The firm has an established mid-market corporate practice acting for a range of clients but with a particular focus on the energy and especially renewable energy sectors. The partners are therefore looking for senior lawyers who have deal experience in this area. Recent transactions have included areas such as waste to energy, EV and EV infrastructure, battery storage, wind and solar.

The firm continues to make good progress in terms of turnover and profitability and clean energy is considered an important component of the firm over the long term, with established clients and a number of long-term projects. The partners are highly ranked in the directories and are well supported by a cohort of talented associates. With a growing pipeline of instructions and a busy market the team are keen to capitalize now by adding an additional partner to assist with growing the practice and consolidating a share of mid-market deals.

Ideally, you will have already started to grow and develop your own practice and network and while the firm is not insisting on a fully formed book of business there is an expectation that any lateral should have good client skills, an understanding of the sector and an eye for business development. You will be joining a buoyant and confident team which is well placed to take advantage of a positive position in the UK market.
