Our Team
As the leading clinical and medical negligence law firm in the UK, we know how to make a positive difference to our client's lives. Our experienced medical negligence solicitors take the time to understand what clients are going through, helping them get the answers and compensation they deserve. Our clinical negligence team has extensive experience in clinical negligence claims arising from obstetric, neonatal, anaesthetic, neurosurgical, cardiac and psychiatric care.
We recognise that the office 9-5 isn't for everyone. That's why we've introduced 'Flexible by Choice'. Whether it's working from home, in our offices, or a combination of both, we trust each other to support our clients, colleagues and communities at the right time, in the right way.
Our solicitors have years of experience making a variety of medical negligence cases including but not limited to:
- Accident & Emergency claims
- Cancer claims
- Cerebral Palsy claims
- GP negligence claims
Our recent work includes:
- Settlement for a client after suffering a stroke that doctors could have avoided
- A couple receiving settlement after new born dies at birth because of poor standards of care
- A woman receives settlement after Fallopian Tube removed because of a late diagnosis by doctors
Your Role
You'll provide quality legal advice to the firm's clients by appropriate supervision and training and managing your very own caseload from the offset. Your aim will be to obtain interim payments wherever possible, so that we can put rehabilitation, a care package and suitable accommodation in place before the claim is concluded.
As a team, we are dedicated to improving the quality of life of our clients. You'll join a Partner who's paediatric work focuses on children who have suffered neurological injuries caused by negligence at or around the time of birth, for example due to delays in delivery (causing cerebral palsy), or as a result of inadequate medical treatment in the neonatal period caused by neonatal hypoglycaemia.
What You'll Be Doing
- Take instructions from clients and give legal advice.
- Opportunity to manage own caseload, while also assisting the Partners and senior team members on High Value cases.
- Review cases and other relevant matters with supervisor to ensure quality legal advice is provided
What We're Looking For
- 5yrs+ PQE with a Medical Negligence background
- Highly organised
- Commercial awareness
- Ability to work collaboratively and independently
- Ability to work in a pressurised environment
What we can offer you
We also offer a huge number of well-being initiatives to encourage positive mental health both in and out of the workplace as well as flexible working options to ensure that you are fully supported to work the way that best suits you. Our social responsibility programme is fundamental to who we are. We're committed to being a diverse and inclusive workplace where our colleagues can flourish. We have a range of groups to celebrate our people across sexuality, disability, age, gender and culture.
We welcome applications from all diversity groups and backgrounds. We're committed to enabling everyone to thrive and understanding and celebrating our differences is a key part of that.
