Legal Counsel (6 months to 4 years PQE)

A highly regarded global NYSE listed company, is seeking a Legal Counsel to join it's large in-house legal team.

Based in Staffordshire, the role will offer hybrid working with two days in the office and the remainder working remotely.

Responsibilities will include:

• Delivering solutions orientated, commercial and timely advice to key stakeholders
• Co-working with the senior leadership team on the internal communications strategy and particularly working alongside the HR Director and divisional directors.
• Negotiating and drafting distribution and license agreements.
• Undertaking compliance checks and ensuring that compliance procedures are followed.
• Supporting on complex transactions and projects
• Assisting in delivering legal and compliance training to support the team more effectively
• Managing external legal resource and budgets for their own projects
• Managing corporate affairs (20% of role): business partner with HR and central Corporate Affairs in area of sustainability, produce regular internal communications and articles, design and support of strategy for business unit.

To be considered for this role, you must have no less than 6 months to 4 years PQE as a solicitor and hold a current practising certificate. Strong commercial contracts experience, a solid training contract and experience gained in a reputable commercial law firm are also essential. In addition, you must be able to demonstrate commercial acumen, strong written and oral communication skills, advocacy skills and legal research skills.

International travel will be also be required in this role.
