Legal Counsel (2+ PQE) - Funds

Our client is a market leading fund manager with $300bn under management investing into direct and indirect real estate and real estate securities.  An internal promotion has led to the GC, who has historically taken the lead on fund work, to step back from this workstream, leading to a requirement for a lawyer, ideally with 2-4 years’ PQE gained from a leading firm, to take on a role involved in the entire fund lifecycle.  Supporting PMs through the fund launch process, you will also be involved in fund closures, commutations, restructurings and IMAs.

The client’s fund portfolio is largely Luxembourg domiciled and primarily AIFs (with a Lux AIFM at the top of the structure), however they also deploy Cayman, Delaware and Dublin vehicles to a smaller extend and often elsewhere in the structure.  The ideal candidate will have trained at a good City practice and qualified into Investment Funds, working on a range of funds which should include pooled fund structures, ideally Lux AIFs.
