Commercial Property Solicitor

Our client is looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Property Solicitor to join their Real Estate team based in Southampton.

The team advise a range of clients consisting of investors, developers, banks, occupiers, and charities. The workload maintains a balance of public and private sector matters including retail leases and agreements, mixed use site development, due diligence, and client support alongside more senior fee earners on high value deals.

This opportunity will provide the successful candidate with an excellent platform to develop both technical ability and business development skills within a motivated and supportive team.

The role will involve assisting and working alongside all members of the Real Estate team with tasks such as drafting, reviewing, negotiating contracts, leases, licences and more. You will be expected to liaise with clients and lawyers on the other side of transactions, as well as obtaining quotes for indemnity policies and liaising with insurance brokers and underwriters when appropriate. There will also be the expectation for you to undertake due diligence tasks by reviewing and reporting on title, raising enquiries, and reviewing searches.

To be considered for this role, you will have 2-5 years' PQE with experience gained at a leading national or regional firm. It is important that you are a confident and personable individual with the ability to establish a rapport with clients. Excellent communication skills are key, as well as performing effectively both individually and as part of a team.
