About the Company

This highly respected events business is a leader in its field and now has a need for a commercial lawyer to join its international legal team and provide dedicated legal support to its technology business.

The Opportunity

This company has a number of divisions (intelligence, publishing, etc) and it's specifically the technology division this role will support. legal team is well integrated into the business. This role will have responsibility for drafting a wide range of commercial contracts including collaboration agreements and tech agreements, media and sponsorship agreements, outsourcing agreements and joint ventures. You will also advise the business on IP and digital matters along with broader commercial matters relating to risk. The business is looking for a lawyer with strong training and a broad skill-set who can hit the ground running on a wide range of things.

About You 

This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading listed company at an exciting time for the business. Training and experience at a well-respected firm or in-house business would be useful and a seat in tech would be useful. Whilst the role is primarily a general commercial position, any experience in tech, media or IP will also be helpful. You will need to demonstrate good commercial acumen and the ability to operate in a professional environment with tight deadlines. You will have the opportunity to work with people across the international business and as a result, strong interpersonal skills are also required.
