A fantastic opportunity has become available for a 3- 8 year PQE Court of Protection Solicitor, at a well established legal500 law firm.
You will be joining a highly regarded court of protection team, working amongst leading lawyers with the COP field.
The Court of Protection Health and Welfare team works closley with the firms Injury and Medical Claims department, dealing with a varied case load of Court of Protection matters to include deputyship applications, statutory wills, professional deputyships, purchase and adaptation of properties, financial abuse.
The team you will be joining specialises in providing Court of Protection Deputyship support for clients who have complex mental health issues. Many clients have ongoing Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence claims, leading to multi-million-pound awards. They require a lawyer to assist in maximising their support/rehabilitation and entitlements. Others have complex disputes involving their property or family that require urgent intervention.
They require a lawyer to ensure the protection of their funds and resolve family issues.
The ideal candidate
A technically strong Court of Protection Fee Earner with at least 3 years' experience
Will be able to run their own deputyships
May have experience in managing and supervising others although this is not essential
Will be highly organised and have a keen eye for detail
Will be committed to providing a high level of client care
The role can be offered fully remote, the law firm have a network of offices across the UK so if an office presence is required multi sites can be offered.
