Exciting newly created role for a legal counsel to work with the General Counsel of this ambitious sporting media business.  The role will work across a diverse breadth portfolio and the successful candidate will work on a wide variety of commercial and media contracts.

The client is looking for a junior lawyer, either newly qualified or up to two years post qualification expertise. The candidates will have experience of being trained or working in a highly successful and recognised commercial, media or technology team either in practice or in-house.

Focus of the role will be licensing audio-visual content and data so experience in this area is advantageous but not pre requisite but experience of managing legal projects and directly advising stakeholders across the business is a must.

The day to day work will be to review, draft and negotiate commercial contracts such as media rights, distribution, licensing and technical arrangements.  Supporting the sporting business with events, sponsorship, venue hire, brand and marketing, licensing and commercial property.  You will also get involved in the management of external counsel where needed. This is a fast paced and agile organisation and ability to develop strong relationships across the stakeholders in the business is key.
