We are partnering with a leading, innovative FinTech who has developed a ground-breaking suite of products that allows their banking customers to control their money and finances from just one place. After receiving funding from some of the biggest names in tech and achieving enviable success across the UK, they have now successfully launched in the US and are continuing their expansion across Europe.
In line with this growth, they are looking to hire a lawyer to focus on their technology and commercial agreements. You can be based in London or a commutable distance to London, our client offers a hybrid working model that is very flexible.
What will the role involve:
- Strategic contract management and negotiation; revewing, negotiating and advising on a wide variety of agreements, most with a technology flavour to them, many of which are with other large technology companies they partner with;
- Always bearing in mind current market regulation when giving advice, and how this has a bearing on the company;
- Working closely with product developers and engineers to ensure strategies are created to withstand current/future regulatory change;
- Act as the ‘go to’ person for day-to-day data protection advice to stakeholders across the business;
- Advise on company policy to reflect changes in legislation;
- Adapting quickly to assist different product teams across the business on a weekly or even daily basis.
This role would suit UK/Commonwealth qualified lawyers with at least 1 yr. PQE who have a broad commercial practice of which IT and data protection are elements.
You will have:
- Previous experience of advising on commercial and technology agreements, as well as data regulations, rules and requirements;
- An excellent academic record;
- The ability to thrive in an entrepreneurial and evolving business;
- Excellent interpersonal skills – someone who can effortlessly forge relationships and build trust;
- A curious and inquisitive mind, someone who is not afraid to question the norm and bring fresh ideas to the table.
